GATE LOOPS & SAFETY SENSORS

GATE LOOP INSTALLATION
Gate loops are both a safety feature and an access control option.
They may not look fancy, but they are important. Most types of gate loops use an electromagnetic field to sense the presence of a vehicle. The loops are connected to the gate controller, which opens gates automatically but also prevents them from closing on a vehicle. Installing gate loops is an important step in minimizing the liability of an automatic gate system.
A newer technology than gate loops, certain types of sensors can be used in place of loops for certain applications, which reduces costs by reducing installation time.
One of the main differences to consider between the types of loops is how they are powered and transmit information. Options include:
Wired electrical or battery powered
Wireless transmission or wired transmission to gate operator
R&S Erection of Concord regularly replaces gate loops for homeowners and business owners throughout Contra Costa and Alameda counties and has been providing that service at honest prices for more than 40 years.
SAFETY SENSORS
Safety sensors are used for both automatic gate and door applications to prevent a door or gate from closing on or hitting someone or something. They are a simple but effective safety feature that is a must for any automatic door or gate system.
In addition to ground-level safety sensors, a reverse edge sensor is another safety feature to prevent gates from closing with something in their paths.
R&S Concord technicians can walk you through the best safety options for your particular door or gate application.
